Problem/Challenge

A customer of long standing ran out of a specialty marking ink for their tire production at a plant in the Midwest and faced the prospect that production would be shut down over the weekend.

Solution

After calling Customer Service early on Friday morning with the problem, the APV plant geared up and produced a batch of the specialty marking inks by days' end.

Results

APV had an overnight carrier pick up the batch of ink late Friday afternoon, and it was delivered to the Midwest Saturday morning by the time the first shift began their work at the customer’s plant.

Timing

The crisis was averted when marking ink was delivered in less than 48 hours!
