Problem/Challenge

In addition to host of properties such as UV resistance, durability, and resistance to surface scratching, roof membrane must be able to withstand heat sealing temperatures of 300„a F when one sheet is abutted and sealed with another. The customer¡¦s previous supplier was delivering a tacky joiner tape product that had produced spotty results. Efforts to deliver consistent product failed time and again. The customer needed a quality source for this critical product.

Solution

The APV tape solution to the roofing membrane manufacturer consistently withstands the heat seal performance requirements, and exceeds the customer¡¦s specifications for this important product.

Results

APV¡¦s solution converted the previous dry mix to three liquid dispersions which are now mixed at one time resulting in:
• Easier batch blending that eliminated clogging during filtering,
• Shortened the production process time, and
• Greatly improved the quality and consistency of the product.
