Our long-standing relationship with the automobile industry dates all the way back to its inception. In the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, APV was a leader in manufacturing fast-drying enamels. As Henry Ford (‘any color as long as it’s black’) was looking for ways to speed production and increase capacity with the introduction of the assembly line, this technology proved invaluable.

Today, our relationship with the industry continues, with an extensive range of coatings available for various interior automotive components including upholstery, dashboard and door trim, integral products for tire and hose manufacturing, and a line of sealant products for engine gaskets, window trim, and many others.

APV's close relationship with the #1 race car tire producer in the world led to the engineering, testing, and launching of a high performance track surface conditioner called TrakTak.

Our zero VOC, ‘green’ race track surface preparation coating is a launch pad conditioner that is engineered to improve track conditions and enhance traction on concrete and asphalt. It has been proven to increase acceleration times by allowing the rubber tires to build a unique bond with the track surface during the pre-start acceleration period or 'burnout.'
