Similar to 'bubble-jet' printers and generally used for large character ink jet printing onto a great variety of substrates from paper/cardboard, wood, metal, plastic, building products, etc. in commercial and industrial manufacturing processes. Ink resolution is generally low and inks are pigmented in water or a range of solvents.
