The APV Masking System is a process developed to protect coating formation on portions of alloy/superalloy parts and assemblies.
The newest addition to the APV Masking System are the Ready-To-Use Slurries (R.T.U.). Developed for customer convenience, R.T.U. slurries can be incorporporated into the High Temperature Coating Masking System where diffusion coating processes are above 1500 F or the Low Temperature Coating Masking System where diffusion coating processes are below 1500 F.
Because R.T.U.'s are delivered pre-mixed to the appropriate consistency, weighed and measured, the operator will no longer need to prepare the slurry on-site. Through eliminating operator involvement in the begining step of APV's masking process, cost and time savings can essentially be realized.
APV's technology platform behind the R.T.U. slurries allow the mixture to remain in suspension for significantly longer periods of time than the on-site prepared slurries. As eco-friendly attributes are always a basis for our product innovations, the R.T.U. slurries can be covered and re-used, significantly eliminating waste.

R.T.U. M-10/B-4 slurry (S-8820)
R.T.U. M-107/B-4 slurry (S-8887)
**For customers currently using M-1 as a slurry, the RTU equivalent is the RTU M-10/B-4
**For customers currently using M-17 as a slurry, the RTU equivalent is the RTU M-107/B-4
**RTU slurries are only available with the B-4 binder
