Decals or laylines consist of a rubber-based ink which is printed onto a carrier that designs the letters or logo. This is then transferred onto tire sidewalls, using a post-cure heat transfer method (time, temperature, and pressure).

APV Engineered Coatings has developed a proven custom decal technology which projects brand awareness with a high-end aesthetic. This decal technology can be implemented quickly and efficiently into any manufacturing process.

APV is the leading producer of decals for race tire sidewalls. We have supplied decals to race tire manufacturers since 1992 and currently supply five major race tire manufacturing companies in the United States and two abroad.

APV works with the customer during each step involved in lettering race tire sidewalls and other rubber products. This includes finalizing the decal design and color, establishing the location of the decal on the tire sidewall or part, and assisting with the design and procurement of an application machine.

Note: Decals can be applied to other rubber parts and tire types including lawn and garden equipment tires, ATVs, and golf cart tires.
