The Automotive Racing Industry has had difficulty in developing a track surface coating that would ensure consistent starts among the thousands of dragsters that participate in the 20 dragstrip venues hosting 23 national events in North America. Products on today's market have a high solvents, low solid content, can soften the race tires (adversely affecting performance), and demonstrate low durability, which results in requiring daily applications and low or no 'hiding' - inhibiting good track aesthetics.

APV's close relationship with the #1 race car tire producer in the world led to the engineering, testing, and launching of a high performance track surface conditioner called TrakTak.

Our zero VOC, ‘green’ race track surface preparation coating is a launch pad conditioner that is engineered to improve track conditions and enhance traction on concrete and asphalt. It has been proven to increase acceleration times by allowing the rubber tires to build a unique bond with the track surface during the pre-start acceleration period or 'burnout.'

This 'tacky' conditioner also helps balance any differences on the surface of the track. The black resin allows bald areas to look uniform with the rest of the track, thereby improving aesthetics. TrakTak also prevents the tire rubber from peeling off of the track under adverse weather conditions, therefore sealing and protecting the asphalt or concrete.

TrakTak is designed for surfaces from circle tracks and road courses to drag strips and straight tracks. It can be easily applied with a plastic or stainless steel sprayer, or rolled on with a 3/8" nap roller. Due to its high solid content, a heavy coat of TrakTak is unnecessary. TrakTak's superior bonding characteristic produces exceptional performance on the 120-foot length of the starting line, and even on the entire surface of the track.
