Rubber Repair Paint is used in new tire and retread manufacturing and applied to cured rubber surfaces. Personnel in final finish and inspection areas apply a small amount of this water-based product to tire sidewalls and tread surfaces to hide imperfections such as blemishes, scuff marks, scratches, chalk marks, crayon marks, etc. The result is the appearance of a cured finish.
Rubber Repair Paint is applied by conventional spray equipment. Technical assistance on equipment recommendations and cleaning products are also available through APV. The product is black in color and available in a variety of gloss levels and shades. Repair Paint can be ordered in gallon cans, 5 gallon pails, and 55 gallon drums.
