Decals or laylines consist of a rubber-based ink printed onto a carrier in the design of the letters or logo to be transferred onto the tire sidewalls. The decals are transferred onto the tire sidewalls using a post-cure heat transfer method (Time, Temperature, and Pressure).

Decals are used to apply the company name and/or logo onto race tire sidewalls. APV currently supplies decals to five major race tire manufacturing companies in the USA and two companies abroad.

APV has the capability to provide you with all the information required to letter race tire sidewalls and other rubber parts. This includes finalizing the decal design and color, the location of the decal on the tire sidewall or part, and the design and procurement of an application machine.

Note: Decals can be applied to other rubber parts and tire types, i.e. lawn and garden, ATVs, and golf cart tires.
