APV's Disappearing Ink is a yellow, solvent-based ink designed to mark beads on truck and bus tires, as well as rubber hoses, tubes, and other various uncured rubber surfaces. This multi-purpose ink is a precise blend of finely ground sulfur and oil, designed to be visible before curing/vulcanization and then disappear after processing and curing.
The formulation uses the high temperatures of the curing process to melt the solids content of the ink. The melted ink components are no longer visible due to its absorbsion into the affected rubber compounds. The compound co-cures and develops a strong adhesive bond.
APV's Disappearing Ink is perfect for applying alpha /numeric codes to green sidewalls through an offset /direct printer instead of indenting. Note: it can be supplied in any viscosity for varying equipment applications.
