APV and PPC Announce Building Renewal™ NeverFade® Coating for Exterior Facades

AKRON, Ohio, June 2, 2026 – APV Engineered Coatings (APV), in partnership with the Pittsburgh Paints Company (PPC), announced the launch of Building Renewal™ NeverFade®, a high-performance, water-based fluoropolymer coating designed to deliver long-lasting color retention, durability and exterior protection for residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

Powered by Kynar Aquatec® PVDF resin technology from Arkema, Inc., Building Renewal NeverFade is a field-applied, air-dry coating system engineered to extend the life of building materials while maintaining vibrant color and weather resistance. PPC will serve as the exclusive distributor for the product.

Building Renewal NeverFade meets SSPC Paint 47 standards for field-applied fluoropolymer topcoats and features low VOC content, superior UV resistance and a 15-year color-fade warranty covering both materials and labor. The coating can be applied to a variety of substrates, including concrete, masonry, stucco, aluminum, steel, vinyl and previously coated surfaces.
“With a 15-year warranty, it minimizes project rework, enabling building managers to skip entire paint cycles and avoid replacing expensive pieces of exterior materials,” added Karnstein.
