Maskant Stripper
APV’s Maskant Stripper is a blue crystalline compound used to remove aluminide coatings on nickel and cobalt super-alloys.
Supplied in a dry granular powder, the compound is dissolved in water followed by the addition of technical-grade nitric acid and then diluted with water to its final volume. It is critical to wax-mask the roots of all blades to ensure the stripping solution does not touch these uncoated surfaces.
