W-1500 Universal Primer
W-1500 Universal Primer is a multi-surface acrylic primer engineered for use with NeverFade® Original Topcoat.
W-1400 Elastomeric Primer
W-1400 Elastomeric Primer is an acrylic-based coating that provides a flexible membrane for a variety of building envelope surfaces, including stucco, concrete, masonry and PVC.
Compatible with APV’s field-applied architectural coatings, including NeverFade® Facade Restoration Coatings, this single component chemistry is water-based, non-hazardous, low odor and low in VOCs. It is most commonly used on aged roofing materials to provide a water-resistant seal and protect against harsh weather conditions.
W-1400 Elastomeric Primer also functions as a tenacious bonding layer for APV’s high-performance reflective topcoats. When used together, the primer and topcoat can increase the emissivity and total solar reflectance (TSR) properties of a roof’s surface, which reduces the energy absorption into the building.
W-1400 Elastomeric Primer can be applied using standard contractor-grade spray equipment including HVLP, airless, and air-assisted airless, as well as by brush or roller.
W-1400 Elastomeric Primer is recommended for application to metal, PVC, EPDM, TPO, Modified Bitumen (including APP & SBS), concrete and polyurethane foam. Contact APV Engineered Coatings’ Technical Department for approval and guidelines on application to other substrates.
